Abstract Printing with Jess Levine
Come and explore the fun printing technique of abstract geli plate, using re-purposed and natural materials. A popular workshop suitable for beginners and experienced crafters alike. Enjoy a relaxed couple of hours facilitated by printmaker Jess who will help you find your creative mojo.
Using a roller, acrylic paint and lots of textures, the images are made by rolling out flat sheets of colour on to which textures are laid. The prints are taken of these textures and the spaces around them where paint is exposed.
Jess provides a wide range of textures for you to work with – bubble wrap, string, corrugated card, netting and there will be opportunity to forage for natural textures in adjacent green areas.
Wear clothes you wouldn’t mind getting paint on.
