Review from Paul Jackson, Founder of The Gin Guide:
“Ulverston Gin brings together herbal, herbaceous and floral notes in a showcase of local Cumbrian botanicals that is flavoursome, skilfully balanced and has a charming sense of provenance. The fresh herbal notes intertwine with the savoury herbaceous notes, while the floral botanicals have presence but without being overbearing. It is a gin that has been a labour of love for Andy & Zoe and this really shows in the finished product – a gin that Ulverston can be very proud of.”
Ginspiration struck on a walk up Hoad in our lovely town of Ulverston. We’ve been making Gin since 2016 and over the years we’ve learned so much about botanicals and become far more aware of what grows around us. For our latest creation we’ve worked with local groups, artists and charities for the ultimate local, Ulverston Gin.
Foraged Sheep Sorrel, Gorse, Speedwell and Blackcurrant Leaves are 4 of the 9 botanicals found in this juniper-led, London Dry Gin, with hints of herb and hedgerow.
We were helped by two qualified Medical Herbalists and local art students designed the Label and the Pamphlet that comes with every bottle. The pamphlet includes a foraging map showing where we found each of the botanicals for Ulverston Gin, plus information about each botanical. This is such a light, fresh, easy to drink gin, which manages to be subtle but still has some really interesting flavours including a warming aftertaste. Gave some to my father-in-law to try and now need to buy another bottle before it sells out!
Zoe –
Thank you for taking time to leave a review! So glad you, and your father-in-law, are enjoying it!

Five star! Purchased on a whim as I’m an Ulverston lass living down South and I honestly wasn’t expecting it to be so good. I’m
blown away! It’s light, refreshing and VERY easy to drink (maybe too easy!) and I can highly recommend. I’ll certainly be buying more as I can’t see this bottle lasting long 🙂
