Winners! Gin Guide Awards

There's been dancing in The Shed!

Andy and Zoe Arnold-Bennett of Shed 1 Distillery, Ulverston, are celebrating a double win in internationally acclaimed The Gin Guide Awards. The Gin Guide Awards is the annual and global celebration of the exceptional spirits, distilleries and distillers in the industry. In 2021 the quality and diversity of entries has been truly exceptional, with hundreds of entries from over 30 different countries.

Shed 1’s Cuckold’s Revenge won in Contemporary Gin (over 42%abv) and the distillery received the Environmental Sustainability award for the second year running. “We are really chuffed!” Andy said, “We are a true micro-distillery making everything by hand. It’s an honour to achieve these awards, and it makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

Zoe continued, “Being recognized in this way is such a boost. Plus, we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors back to the Shed which is another positive after such a challenging year.

It was only a few weeks ago when Shed 1 Distillery was also shortlisted in the World Gin Awards for Best Visitor Attraction. Andy & Zoe run Cumbria’s only Make Your Own Gin Experiences, as well as hosting distillery tours, gin tastings and botanical-inspired Afternoon G&Teas.  Also at The World Gin Awards, their Giggle in the Ginnel won a Bronze Award in Signature Botanical.
