How did Shed 1 Gin do at The World Gin Awards?

We're extremely happy with the results from The World Gin Awards!

It wasn't the most glamourous of events. Instead of a black tie affair in some prestigious London location...We were in the garden watching on our phone's while they livestreamed via Facebook!

However, wherever we may have been the results would have been the same. And they were:

The Shed and our Gin Experiences were shortlisted in the World's Best Gin Visitor Attraction. This was quite amazing. We only opened The Old Calf Shed to the public in 2019 and started Cumbria's only Make Your Own Gin Experiences near the end of that year. Due to covid we had to close for most of last year. However, we are so looking forward to welcoming gin lovers back to make their own gin, take a Gin Tour with Tastings, and indulge in one of Afternoon G&Teas

We are also a licensed Wedding Venue and host Gin Elopements.

The World Gin Awards continued and then we heard our name mentioned.

Shed 1 Gin, Signature Botanical, England, BRONZE, Giggle in the Ginnel!

Giggle was created for Andy's 50th birthday when, in the afternoon, we set up a barbecue in the wide ginnel (northern for alley) next to our house. Around 30 friends had quite the giggle in the ginnel before we headed to Ulverston's Brewing Company for an evening at the brewery!

With its signature botanicals, star anise and angelica root, it has an aniseed edge to it which can be a little controversial. However, it is all Gin and we are so proud that it's been recognised in this way.
